| Bio: | I am billions of years of evolution gone terribly wrong, forming an organism with no intelligent way to talk about himself, except to say that he is a random collection of interests that somehow combine into a person. I'd just as soon not attempt to define who I am in a couple paragraphs, and if I could wouldn't it say something about how interesting I really am? Instead, I'll list a few random facts about myself, and if those are interesting, great. If they aren't, you probably won't care anyway.
I'm originally from New York, but the only time most people hear the accent is if I'm around my family or people from there.
I work for a really amazing company (a rather well-known internet company). I can't really say anything more about my job, but I love it.
I really love movies. I have about 500 DVDs. What??? Everyone needs a hobby...Besides, what if I suddenly had a 4am urge to watch Ronin. It could happen. :-p
I have a pretty diverse set of things that I really enjoy. I'm just as happy at a play as I am at a concert, and I'm just as happy at a hockey game as I am at home watching a movie. All of those things sound like an incredible time to me.
I suppose I ought to admit I could be considered to have some geeky tendencies. I work in technology, I'm a Harry Potter fan, I think Star Trek: TNG and Firefly were two of the greatest shows ever, I love movies and like video games, I'd rather go to a museum than a bar, and I'm bothered that I'm not as good at Chess as I should be. :-p That being said, I don't exactly fit some of the geek stereotypes, I can hold my own in social situations, I like sports (omg hockey!), I know how to match a shirt and a tie, and I've read a fair share of books that have nothing to do with robots or dragons :-p Of course..robots and dragons are pretty awesome...
I'm on a bit of a mission to read some of the great books I have never had a chance to. Right now it is Siddhartha. Previously it was Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Next is On the Road.
I love slam poetry. I do a bit of writing, but I'm constantly in awe of some of the greats in the field. I can appreciate classical poetry and enjoy it, but give me a chance to see Saul Williams or Taylor Mali and you'll see my head explode. |
